Who are we?

Cry for Recognition was founded in 2021 as a support group for parents of a child with gender dysphoria. Our group grew out of disbelief and outrage at how our children were unilaterally pushed towards a medical transition, without serious investigation and without our stories as parents being taken into account. The name Cry for Recognition indicates a basic desire, the desire to be recognized. We believe that this lack is the basis of the irrational desire to be someone else. Healing is only achieved in learning to accept yourself, in regaining self-confidence in your dignity.
